Syrian Kuwaiti Insurance Company (SKIC) is a Syrian joint stock company established on February 6, 2006; following the ministerial decree number 13 and received its operating license number 44/100 from the Syrian Insurance Supervisory Commission in October 10, 2006.  The Company started its operation that same year with an authorized and fully paid up capital of SYP 850 Million.

SKIC is a member of the Gulf Insurance Company of Kuwait (GIC) that presently holds about 38.96% of SKIC’s capital. GIC provides support and guidance to its affiliate in Syria as well as the necessary training to its staff.

SKIC is headquartered in Damascus with branches in Aleppo, Homs, Lattakia and Tartous. It provides through these offices the best possible insurance service to its ever increasing customer base that has entrusted the Company with over 1,000,000 insurance policies.


The company provides its customers with a wide variety of insurance products, which consist of:
